Our jaws are on the floor after seeing this stunning, whimsically organic engagement shoot captured by the talented Emily Figurelli Photography! Doesn’t it give you major wanderlust?! Skyler and Savannah first met in a coffee shop in Houston while they were both home from college for Christmas break. After talking there for hours over a cinnamon roll and hot chocolate, the pair decided there was a spark! For the next two weeks, they spent every waking moment together, keeping entertained with local activities and attractions. Since they went to different schools, they agreed on New Year’s Day to give long-distance a try. They parted ways the next day, and it was smooth sailing from there on out! The couple is so excited to finally tie the knot, but they’re most excited to be married by Skyler’s father who used to be a pastor. Savannah says, “I know that we will carry that special detail with us for the rest of our lives.” For their late August wedding, they will incorporate a palette of dusty blue, champagne, gold and cedar, combining the most gorgeous textural elements to create what we know will be a stunning wedding scene! Read on to hear from the soon-to-be bride about how Skyler proposed. Cheers to Savannah and Skyler!

From the bride: “Right before Christmas 2019, we took a trip to Prague to visit Skyler’s twin brother. While Prague is a romantic city, Skyler planned for us to take a day trip to Saxon Switzerland in Germany (coincidentally one year to the day from when we met in 2018) to get out of the city and explore natural landscapes. There on the Bastei Bridge, Skyler got down on one knee and presented me with a hand-carved red mallee ring box he had secretly been working on for months and the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. After wiping a couple of tears and snapping a couple of pictures as a newly engaged couple, we found a cute secluded German biergarten to celebrate over a mug and some charcuterie.”
