You Won’t Believe This Tropic Engagement Took Place in Austin!

As much as we love the iconic I Love You So Much Mural, Austin has so much more to offer in terms of gorgeous, and even tropic engagement session backdrops that will have all your friends and family wondering when you had time to sneak off on a quick beach vacation to take them! The Contemporary Austin – Laguna Gloria is absolutely picturesque this time of year and serves as the perfect faux-destination setting for Molly and Mitchell’s tropic engagement session, captured by Kristin La Voie Photography! This pair first met a few years after Molly moved from Michigan to Houston, where Mitchell is from. Molly’s twin sister met him first and relayed to her how perfect they would be together, the pair went out on a date a few days later, and the rest is history! The pair will be wed January of 2021 in their ceremony planned by Pearl Events Austin, and when it comes to wedding details Molly is most excited about, she has a few on her list! Her color scheme is the first, and she plans for a bright wintery wedding celebration with snowy greys and blues accented with pops of bright pinks, greens, and lots of lush winter florals from Bouquets of Austin. Another fave detail of hers is the size of the wedding party! “We have a big wedding party consisting of 14 groomsmen and 14 bridesmaids,” Molly said. “And my brother-in-law is doing the honor of marrying us.” Décor and rentals for Molly and Mitchell’s winter wedding will be taken care of by Premiere Events, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with! Read on to hear Molly’s story about how Mitchell proposed. Cheers to Molly and Mitchell!

From the bride: “We had just hit our three-year anniversary the week before he proposed to me on Thanksgiving Day. My lovely future parent-in-laws invited my whole family to celebrate with them at the lake house, but I really didn’t think anything of it because they have always been so generous with opening their home up for the holidays. Mitch and I are very active and like to go running/walking together a few times a week. So early thanksgiving morning we went on a walk before all the Thanksgiving festivities began, and he proposed to me at Commons Ford Park. I was in complete shock and SO excited as he totally caught me off guard (I had no makeup on and was wearing the biggest sweatshirt I own). After our walk, I walked into a surprise celebration with both of our entire families. It was a great day, to say the least!”
