One of the first details your guests will see when entering your wedding venue is your guest book! Not only can this be a fun, interactive station for your guests to kick off the wedding fun, but it will be a keepsake you and your spouse will look back on for years to come. Trust us – your wedding day will be a blur, and this will ensure you know exactly who attended your celebration! Just like your dress, cake table, and the rest of your wedding details, your guest book should reflect you as a couple. Whether you’re a classic couple who prefers the traditional book or a DIY fanatic with a project up your sleeve, here are some unique guest book ideas!

1. Have a traditional guest book
Classic weddings call for classic elements…like a traditional guest book. Traditional guests books are typically blank books with an engraved cover of the couple’s names or monogram. Your customized cover can be designed and customized from most stationary shops. Or you can easily find a book on our Amazon shop here!
2. Receive the “book” over a span of time
Your maid of honor is going to be your right hand girl, and it’s totally okay to ask her for one last thing after the wedding. Set out postcards for your guests to write messages on and have your maid of honor mail these to you throughout your first year of marriage. You’ll be reminded of that special night for an entire year and still get to relish in those memories.
Tip: Gift your maid of honor some stamps to help complete this fun task.
3. Ask for travel recommendations
Not every couple gets to jet off on their honeymoon after their wedding, and this can be an awesome advantage! Instead of setting out a traditional guest book for your guests to sign, set a globe out and ask for travel recommendations. The guests can write special messages on places they recommend traveling to. Your guests might just plan you the perfect honeymoon!
4. Incorporate your hobbies
Your wedding is planned perfectly for you and your guest book should reflect that! Incorporate your hobbies into your book to give it a personal touch. Are you a total music lover? Set up a record player with blank records and have your guests write messages on the records. For an even more special touch, frame the records and hang them around your house to always remember their sweet words.
5. Take a Polaroid selfie
While all your wedding photos are beautiful, depending on the size of your guest list, you may not end up seeing every guest in your wedding gallery. Have your guests take a selfie with a Polaroid camera or Instax Mini and write a caption on the bottom of the picture. This way you can enjoy all the nice messages and have an abundance of wedding pictures from your very favorite people.
6. Use your wine corks
Who says drinking wine isn’t a hobby? If you love collecting wine corks, we have the perfect alternative guest book for you. Have your guests sign a wine cork and place it in a shadow box. This makes such a unique decoration for your kitchen, not to mention, makes a great excuse to crack open a bottle of red. *wink*wink* Happy collecting!
