From the photographer: “Courtney and Brendan have been married for six years, and they road trip to Marfa, Texas, each year for their anniversary. I was lucky enough that my trip overlapped with theirs. We met up on the downtown strip then headed west on Highway 90 for golden hour. I enjoyed every minute spent with these two. There’s nothing I love more than seeing a couple who’s been together for years and years still so crazy for each other.”

From Courtney, on how they met: “We met 10 years ago in Colorado on a work retreat with Younglife (he swears I was rude to him haha but I don’t remember that part). We both were dating other people at the time. About six months later we ran into each other in Austin and were single. The rest is history!

On how he proposed: “Oh man, he did good. My family and friends were at dinner with us in downtown Austin. Everyone was in town for a football game, so I thought nothing of it. As we were leaving and walking through a parking lot, a huge video started playing on a brick wall with loud music. I soon realized it was a video he and his brother, who is a videographer, had made that was all about our first date (that had lasted about 8 hours). When it was done, I turned around and saw even more friends gathered around the parking lot, and that’s when he got down on one knee.”
