How Swiping Right Led to a Light & Airy Engagement Shoot

The modern love story of Julie and Bryan, which led to their light and airy engagement shoot with The Crakes, began back in 2019. Julie decided to put herself out there and joined a dating app, while Bryan too became fed up with the dating scene and began swiping on the dating app. As luck would have it, Julie and Bryan both swiped right, and Bryan happened to be Julie’s first match on the app. After some exchanges online, they decided to meet in person at a local brewery in Austin. Julie brought her dog Luna along if the date went south and needed an easy out. It’s safe to say that easy escape didn’t happen! Julie and Bryan bonded instantly over their mutual love for craft beer, traveling, adventures, and their dogs. The two went on a second date and a third and, before they knew it, began planning their future together. The latest adventure the couple embarks on -marriage- all started with a two-week hiking road trip. While on the way, Julie noticed that the forecast in Palo Duro didn’t look ideal for hiking. Wanting to get the most out of the trip, she told Bryan to drive straight to the canyon. Little did she know that Bryan planned to propose to Julie on this hike they initially scheduled for later in the week. Bryan remained calm as he prepared himself to propose in a few short hours. Nonetheless, Bryan got down on one knee and secured his adventure partner for life.

The Crakes captured the love between the adventure partners with their light and airy photography at Laguna Gloria. Their outdoor gardenesque setting made for the most beautiful engagement portraits.
