What are the biggest floral trends you’re seeing in Austin weddings this season?

We are seeing the return of black accents in fashion. We think that is keeping florals more neutral this season, but we have a feeling that things will start moving to a more colorful palette.

Any new flowers in the wedding scene?

We’ve seen lots of smaller, more whimsical blooms lately. (Florals such as butterfly ranunculus) We are also seeing both dyed and dried flowers which are more available and complementary to the neutral color palettes we’re seeing currently. We think citrus/tropical elements will be on the scene for the summer. (Florals like anthurium, orchids and heliconia.)

What floral trends are you most excited to see Austin couples use in your upcoming weddings?

We are excited about the return of a more modern, classic style! Things are pulling away from the rustic wedding vibe. We love that black is returning for the bridesmaids’ gowns.

Any tips for couples who are wanting to go ultra-trendy with their arrangements?

Ultra-trends (or micro-trends as we call them) are super fun, quick and interesting ways to create a statement with your wedding. We have seen a few upcoming celestial-themed weddings with moons, stars and overall very moody elements. Lemons were big in graphics last summer so we are expecting those to be a quick, up-coming wedding trend along with a small return to the french country style; sunflowers in a lusher (rather than artsy) perspective.

What has been a favorite floral design you’ve created?

It’s honestly very hard to narrow down one specific floral design. Arbors and hanging structures always get our attention, accompanied by a classic, beautifully executed theme would definitely be right up our alley!
