The Driskill Engagement

Travis and I met my first day of college at Texas A&M but didn’t start dating until right before he graduated in May 2014. We have been living in Austin since I moved here in 2016 and it’s been the place where our relationship really grew. It’s home to us. We had been talking about getting engaged for a while and I had a suspicion he was going to propose when he planned a date night at the Driskill. But my sisters and best friends told me I was being crazy so I shoved the thought out of my head. We had a lovely dinner and I was thinking okay so it’s not tonight when he proposed! Afterward, we got back to my apartment and I was shocked when all our closest friends and family were already there to throw us a surprise engagement party. It was the sweetest night by the sweetest guy. We finished off the night on Rainey st and it was just all a dream. I can’t wait to be Travis’s wife in just a few short months!
