Brittany and Chris’s love story is a vibrant tapestry woven from moments of joy, challenges overcome, and the enduring power of connection. Their journey began in January 2015, amid the lively atmosphere of Camp Texas counselor training. Brittany, part of the executive team, had meticulously planned a vibrant welcome for the new counselors, complete with color, glitter, and face paint. Chris, attending his first counselor training, was greeted by Brittany with a warm hug and a splash of purple paint, marking the beginning of a memorable friendship.

Over the course of more than a year, their friendship deepened, blossoming into romance by the summer of 2016. Their commitment to each other was solidified in October, setting the stage for a long-distance relationship that would test and strengthen their bond. Brittany’s pursuit of medical school in Houston and Chris’s military assignments from Boston to LA presented challenges, but their dedication to maintaining their connection through visits, Zoom, and FaceTime showcased their unwavering commitment to one another.

The adoption of Evie, their beloved chihuahua, in April 2020, added a new layer of joy to their lives, embodying the love and care at the heart of their relationship. Celebrating their anniversary in October 2022, Chris’s proposal at Mueller Lake Park in Austin—where they had spent their first Valentine’s Day together—was a full-circle moment, symbolizing the depth and permanence of their love.

With Chris’s return to Houston, marking the end of their long-distance journey, Brittany, Chris, and Evie are now embarking on a new chapter together. As they delve into wedding planning, the anticipation for October 19, 2024, grows, promising a day of celebration with their loved ones and a future filled with shared adventures.
