Laurel and Kevin’s love is so apparent in their gorgeous, stately engagement session around the Texas State Capitol grounds, plus scenic waterside shots at Lady Bird Lake captured by Caroline Lima Photography! The now-newlyweds’ story first began when they met while attending school at The University of Texas at Austin. Fast forward to the sweetest proposal (keep reading for the story) and they were officially ready to tie the knot! The pair originally planned to be wed in a chapel ceremony in Houston, but due to COVID restrictions, they had to move their ceremony location just two weeks before the wedding date! They didn’t let this get them down, though, and opted instead for a short cocktail hour immediately following their wedding ceremony on June 20 so they could mingle with close friends and family. The event went off without a hitch, and we can’t wait to see how stunning bride Laurel looked. We’re sure there will be just as much elegance in their wedding photos as there is in this stately engagement session by Caroline Lima Photography. Read on to hear the story from the now-bride about how her husband popped the question. Cheers to Lauren and Kevin!

From the bride: “I was in Austin for what I assumed was a ‘girls weekend,’ and he was with some guy friends for a ranch weekend. Little did I know, he had coordinated the entire thing and was planning to drive down to Austin to propose that evening. We went to the Four Seasons for drinks before dinner, and while we were there, he surprised me at the table. To say that I was shocked would be an understatement! He led me outside where he had flowers set up on the back lawn of the hotel and asked me to marry him.”
