For Marlee and Hayden, the case of a little long distance wasn’t going to hinder the start of what would turn out to be a life-long relationship. The two met in early summer of 2015, just as Hayden was finishing his last week at Texas A&M University. But as fate would have it, Marlee learned that Hayden had secured a job in her hometown, making back-and-forth visits and a year of long distance as ideal as possible! The two moved in together the very next summer and knew something special was soon to happen for their relationship.

One weekend, the couple decided to bring both of their families together for a few days of camaraderie and “getting to know you” at Hayden’s parent’s home in Burnet, Texas. Little did Marlee know that he had other plans for their time together, with a question that would change both of their lives forever. Beautiful weather allowed the group the opportunity to make a visit to the winery where Hayden’s mom works. After charcuterie and a couple of glasses, Hayden suggested a sunset stroll to take in the view before the winery closed for the evening. Overlooking the property, he got on one knee and asked Marlee to spend their forever together, with both of their families and the wine staff secretly taking photos of the special moment! Over the moon, the group headed back to the family home where Hayden had secretly arranged a surprise engagement party with all of their closest family and friends, creating a lifelong memory of the joyous occasion!

The two will wed on March 31 with both ceremony and reception held at Camp Lucy. A perfect match for Marlee’s style, the overall look of wedding will embody the spirit of bohemian romance. After the wedding, Marlee and Hayden will head off to the Cayman Islands for a relaxing stay at The Ritz Carlton. We can’t wait to see the photos from this duo’s wedding!
