Palm Springs Meets Tejas in this Modern Tropic Editorial

Palm Springs meets Tejas in this modern tropic editorial that instantly takes the Texas countryside from desert heat to desert chic! Inspired by her love of palm trees, Tara from Lotus Events curated a scene where tropical details and a neon color palette rein, embodying all of our destination wedding dreams in the heart of Texas. Vibrant florals in shades of pink, orange and yellow from Lavender and Lily Floral take center stage alongside palm leaf and boho accents, all perfectly placed in the desert-esque courtyard of Hudson Bend Ranch.

Decor from Whim Hospitality makes all the difference when it comes to creating an effortlessly stunning tablescape, complete with wild bouquets of eclectic blooms and bold pops of color in every element. Place settings of light peach linens and white chargers topped with name cards from Lettered by Valerie tie in all the tropical details and add a unique element to each setting. While it feels like we’ve been whisked away to Palm Springs, Lettered by Valerie‘s seating chart helps navigate guests to their assigned seats, as well as gives a stylish reminder that we’re still in Austin with a chic welcome sign. Our gorgeous model couple looks flawless posed against a vintage Rolls Royce from Elegant Worldwide Transportation, with our bride strutting a floral, lace detailed gown from a&bé bridal shop Austin as well as a playful bridal look that features bouncy curls and a bright pink lip by Makeup ATX. Adorable cookies from The Lucky Baker elevate any dessert display (peep the cowboy hat on the flamingo), and paired with this naked cake from Bakery Cloud Nine adorned with fresh anthurium and palm leaves, you truly can’t go wrong! Scroll to see all the modern tropic details of this desert chic editorial captured by Alyssa Jarae Photography and get inspired on creating your very own destination wedding in the heart of Texas. Cheers!

From the planner, Tara Blackwell with Lotus Events: “When designing this shoot, my intentions were to keep the whole design and experience fun and vibrant. I wanted each vendor to enjoy crafting their elements, too. The ‘Palm Springs meets Texas’ vibe is inspired by my love for palm trees. I wanted this to look and feel as if we were on a staycation!”
