Cotton Candy Romance in Playful Pastel Hues

After setting sights on this pastel wedding editorial, a cotton candy romance is all we want in this life! Our stunning, bubbly bride was whimsically wed in playful sherbet hues captured by Elizabeth Denny Photography around the inside and outside of industrial, modern One Eleven East. A deep plunge wedding gown from a&bé bridal shop embellished with floral appliqué was just the right balance of elegant and effortless for this styled soirée. Her romantic, half-up bridal hairstyle takes a regal twist when adorned with a pearl-covered headpiece and paired with her warm-toned wedding makeup – a bridal look Katy Reddell Beauty talks more about down below! Complement a pastel palette with citrus-hued blooms and daisy accents that peek out in the most beautiful warm-weather bouquet and tabletop centerpieces as each seems to spill over into the next, all designed by the floral pros at Root and Wilde.

Refined décor and white chairs from Marquee Event Rentals contrast next to the table awash in blue linen and whimsical chargers at every place set by Table Manners and a little complimentary dessert courtesy of Bonjour Brigadeiro Handcrafted Chocolate & Treats. Nostalgic pinwheel escort cards will make finding a seat oh-so-fun for your guests, and Owl & Envelope helps you have all the extra touches like bespoke, hand-lettered invitations and sleek menus designed to match it all. Plus, to speak to nostalgia, a pink Volkswagen bus serves as the best backdrop in the form of Vannagram & Co. | mobile photo booth where, with the help of some truly cute props, a cotton candy romance comes to life before our very eyes. Read on for notes from a few of the creatives that brought this pastel wedding editorial to life and see it all captured on film by Huckleberry Wedding Films down below. Cheers!

From Katy with Katy Reddell Beauty:  “I did a peachy look on the eyes and cheeks for a warm, radiant look! I used a medium/full lash for a doll-like look. For the hair, I did a textured half-up style that’s perfect for brides who want to show off their length and volume but still have it secured out of their way.”

From Evann with Root and Wilde:The compote + tablescape was definitely my favorite, by far! I loved incorporating the fruit in the compote and down the length of the table! It added lots of interest and was definitely an eye-catcher. I was heavy on lots of premium blooms such as poppies, Clooney ranunculus, ranunculus, and garden roses. One of my favorite blooms, David Austin’s Romantic Antike, was incorporated throughout everything.”

From Megan with Owl & Envelope: “Many of our brides are starting to explore brighter, joyful colors for spring, so we wanted to put together a fun color palette reminiscent of Paris in the spring, cotton candy, and sunshine.  This is a great fit for a joyful couple who want a fun, playful wedding while still keeping a romantic spin on the overall look. I loved creating a more unique escort display (our specialty!) with pinwheels for each guest, as well as rock candy place cards & favors at each table setting. The floral letterpress invitations in bright springtime colors are just *chefs kiss* and would be so fun for guests to receive in the mail!”
