This styled shoot infused hues of saturated blue throughout the details for a subtle pop of sophisticated color. In fact, that’s one of Olive + Belle‘s favorite recent trends in the wedding world. “We are loving the return of bolder and brighter colors. We have many weddings coming up that are willing to explore the world of color,” Sydney explains. “My favorite details (in this shoot) were some of the more delicate, small touches, like the marble brush strokes in Eliana Bernard’s place setting collection, the lace detailing in the Saint Isabel gown and the delicious golden roses that Gypsy Floral and Events picked out.”

Says Sydney: “We take our clients’ inspiration and dreams to heart when creating their designs. We find most of our clients hire us for our romantic aesthetic, but we get most excited when we have the opportunity to try new ideas and trends. We adore working with the adventurous bride who is looking for a unique and personal touch on her wedding day that tells her own love story.”

“The groom said he wanted to find a way in our designs to mark the time and place he married his bride. To do this, the groom created a wedding logo that was a circle or hoop to symbolize eternity, and sketched the star constellations that were visible in the Austin sky the night of their wedding. The logo was projected on their dance floor and stamped on some of their bar glassware, but I especially loved how we subtly included a nod to the eternity circle throughout other parts of their wedding like the bridesmaid bouquet hoops and the bar signage.”

Such cool ways to honor something so unique and meaningful to the couple! While personal touches are important for any couple they work with, the Olive + Belle team encourages couples to take a step back and take a breath before jumping straight into the planning process.

“We see so many couples get overly eager to dive right into planning and book a venue or other vendors before really thinking through their budget and design. We take a process oriented approach to design, and budget planning that makes you pause to create your big picture plan before getting to far into the booking process. Sometimes those early bookings you make set the tone for your whole budget and design, so it’s important to take some deep breaths and really consider and outline what your wish list and priorities are for your wedding.”
