Modern Wedding Inspiration with Fun Colors + A Funky Shag Cake
Bold colors and natural décor combined throughout The Cathedral ATX, an urban refurbished church venue in East Austin with some seriously dreamy art deco details that paved the way for this modern wedding inspiration. Planned by Etc. Coordinators – Austin in vibrant styled scenes, fresh flowers all around from Lavender & Lily Floral create an air of fun and whimsy with installations of fresh yellow, peach and lavender tones. Reception dining of minimalist bud vase centerpieces and monochrome place settings from Premiere Events were accented with arched vellum menus printed by Design to Flourish that were the star of the tablescape, allowing the rich patterned linen below to show through. Understated rentals were key in keeping this wedding scene chic and trendy with a few funky touches, but none quite as far out as this faux-shag wedding cake created by Feathers and Frosting in warm boho tones of the seventies. To capture the nostalgia of it all, a few snapshots in the handcrafted Homestead Photo Booth Co. with a trendy tri-tone backdrop ensures that you have the cutest memorabilia from a night you’ll never forget. Dapper groom and beautiful bride pose for artful and elegant shots all around The Cathedral ATX where their love is so obvious – but her stunning and subtle bridal makeup is not! Her features were enhanced with a flawless, matte doe-eye by Makeup ATX, fresh skin, natural lashes and rosy lips. Runway ready, her bridal look ties right into the mod, trendy tone of the styled shoot. Read on for a note from the planner about the vision behind this modern wedding inspiration. Cheers!
