Kierstin Schupack, owner and lead planner of Lovely Day Events, has a rather unique approach to planning incredible celebrations. With a background in theater production, film festival management and fine arts, her life experience makes for the ultimate combination of organization, attention to detail and a stylish flair for the arts. What could be better when choosing someone to help make your wedding day dreams come true?
“I have a background in theater and I love the arts. I would say that with a fine arts background, I approach each event with an artistic and technical eye,” Kierstin explains. For brides wondering where to even start when it comes to the wedding planning process, Kierstin offers sound advice: “Every wedding, even if you intend on a ‘casual’ celebration, requires a high level of attention to detail and needs organization. You’ll need to first answer some important questions such as, who you are going to invite, what is your budget and what type of ceremony you’ll have before you make any decisions. Don’t start booking vendors before you have clear direction.”

“I loved the Palm Springs vibe we went for. It was fun and beautiful, with touches of mid-century modern,” Kierstin says. Choosing a “vibe” or a style that speaks to you is so important as you envision how you want your day to look. Incorporating trends is one things, but staying true to your personality is most important, Kierstin believes. “I love that brides are going for hued wedding dresses rather than traditional white. They are making their style their own and creating events that are meaningful to them, rather than relying on traditions.”
Real Wedding Love

For this real wedding, “the family-style tables were set with organic, cheery florals overlooking the lake. It felt like an intimate, elegant, garden party!” For Kierstin, it’s all about creating weddings with visual interest and emotion-evoking details. “I love to create modern, beautiful and artistic events,” she says.
