In Kayla and Douglas’ tropical retro wedding, the Palm Springs desert meets Austin, Texas. Kayla and Douglas brought us all the bright and playful colors giving us total Palm Spring vibes. The couple who initially met back in 2016 wanted a venue with an abundance of natural light. Therefore, when Kayla entered the LINE Austin Hotel, she knew she had found her wedding venue. The space allowed plenty of natural light, and even Douglas said, “this place looks like you.” In addition to the venue fitting the couple’s vibe, it also provided all the amenities and convenience factors Kayla and Douglas were looking for in a venue. After Kayla and Douglas found their perfect venue, Kayla entrusted the creative minds at The Bloom Bar to bring her ideas to life. Kayla wanted florals she’d never seen before, and The Bloom Bar delivered just that. The Bloom Bar matched Kayla’s bright and tropical vibe with a unique combination of florals. Kayla said, “I actually teared up when I saw them setting up the ceremony space. The room turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I am so glad that I picked a vendor I liked and trusted their creativity because it worked well!”
After months of preparation, the time finally came for Kayla to meet her man at the altar. Kayla looked gorgeous with a gown that simply embodied her style and personality, a lace pattern gown. However, our favorite part of Kayla’s whole bridal look is her fabulous shoes. A twist on traditional cowboy boots that matched her entire wedding theme. After Kayla and Douglas said their “I dos,” they made their way into their tropical retro reception space to let the recessional finish. At this moment, Kayla and Douglas were able to take a second to look around and take in that they were finally husband and wife. Such a precious moment! The couple and guests celebrated the night with delicious food from the LINE Austin Hotel and entertainment from Royal Dukes Band. We adore the new Mr. & Mrs. Weller! One Thing Kayla and Douglas Learned While Planning their Wedding:
“The thing that I appreciated the most was having a wedding all in one place – it was amazing! The LINE Austin Hotel was incredible. They set a vibe for our whole wedding weekend, made everything so easy for us, and made our logistics a breeze on our day! Because everything was at the hotel, it maximized our time with friends and family. It’s so special to have all of your most important people together for a wedding, so I loved that we focused on that with our venue choice and got so many extra memories!”
