Fall Bridal Beauty Chat with FlAir Style Lounge

Fall is in full swing, and we thought it was the perfect time to sit down with the Austin hair and makeup pros at FlAir Style Lounge to go over fall bridal beauty and get their expert tips and tricks! Brides of all seasons will definitely find this helpful as we discuss everything from the perfect shades of lipstick to getting that gorgeous glowy skin. Enjoy!

Q. What beauty trends do you predict for fall/winter 2017 brides?

A. As fall temperatures begin to drop, so will the hair. Fall and winter brides will opt for more down styles from half back boho waves with braids to glamour waves swept to the side with a specialty hair accessory. Fall/Winter 2017 bridal makeup is all about the lips. The look is simplistic, beautiful skin, lashes to frame the eyes and a beautiful lip that pops.

Q. What is your favorite shade of lipstick for a fall bride?

A. Plums are in for fall. Have your makeup artist try a few on you to find the perfect shade. Whether you are looking for a subtle pop of color or something more bold and daring, there is a formula for that. For subtle color and hydrating shine, we love the tried and true Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. It’s a classic. For a little more drama and pop, Yves Saint Laurent Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain in Violet Conviction is the perfect blend of neutral and plum. A very wearable dramatic lip color.

Q. What tweaks should brides make to their beauty routine in the fall?

A. Summer has left your skin and hair layered with remnants of those beach days and summer nights. Whether you book an appointment with your favorite professional or try a new DIY treatment, it is time to clarify your hair and exfoliate your skin. Everyone knows how important moisture is once the temperatures drop, but first you need to remove any buildup and start with a clean slate. Ask your hairstylist for a clarifying treatment and moisture mask when you book your next appointment. Ask your skin guru about a dermaplaning session to get your skin fresh again.

Q. Any other insider tips specifically for fall brides?

A. Fall is a transitional time for weather which means it is also a transitional time for your skin. If you aren’t using it already, a Hyaluronic Acid serum is going to be your new best friend. Hyaluronic Acid is a natural substance that is already found in your body. It has the capacity to attract and hold 100x it’s weight in water. Try adding into your beauty regimen instead of heavier moisturizers. After applying Hyaluronic Acid to a clean, dry face, apply a light moisturizer or even a hydrating facial spray. Your skin will naturally become more moisturized and more plump without struggling with the excess oil production that heavy moisturizers can cause. More water in your skin and less oil production means that your makeup will go on easier, your skin will look younger, and your makeup will last longer.
