Megan and Will first met in high school in Austin but they didn’t start officially dating until college. They ran into each other at the beginning of their junior year and reconnected. On their first date, they realized how much they had in common and started dating soon after.
Will had planned to propose to Megan at a beautiful scenic spot while driving to Colorado for spring break. It rained for most of their drive and Will thought he missed his opportunity. He was tired of waiting and when the rain stopped he pulled over at a rest stop and got down on one knee. After Megan said yes, the newly engaged couple stayed there and had a picnic with their dog. Will then surprised Megan again by taking a two-day detour through Santa Fe before reaching their destination.
