Kara and Matt were both in the same engineering fraternity at Vanderbilt and became close friends one fall semester. The more they got to know each other, the closer they became. After a few months, a “define the relationship” talk made it official. The couple got engaged in Atlanta while frequently traveling for work. Kara was working on a project, and one Friday night, Matt suggested they have a celebratory dinner. After meeting up with friends, they headed toward home, stopping to listen to live music at a bar. Before she knew it, Matt was on one knee and proposed.
At their wedding, Kara and Matt danced to “In My Life” by the Beatles. Once they sat down, their fathers made heartfelt toasts, and guests indulged in a Wagyu steak dinner. The night wrapped up for the newlyweds in their hotel with a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.
