Calming Summer Wedding Inspiration with A Minimal Coastal Vibe

For the most serene soiree, planner Lotus Events designed and styled the perfect calming summer wedding inspiration. The Ivory Oak boasts beautifully maintained property, and guests will experience multiple indoor and outdoor spaces spanning 10 beautiful acres. When planning your affair, create the ultimate summer wedding scene with an artisanal style setting in dusty hues of sky blue, rose and plum. Owl & Envelope creates the prettiest personalized paperie and stuck to a softer, muted color palette, with plentiful white space and minimal text to keep everything modern. Cakes Couture created a simplistic white design adorned with whimsical dip-dyed capiz shells provided by Owl & Envelope, matching the ones used as placeholders on this tastefully textured tablescape. The ceramic vases and organic candle holders add so much texture and full florals bring romance. Raw wood and modern décor alike from Loot Rentals style every wedding scene. A warm-toned bridal look created by Artistee Lane Makeup Studio with flared, full lashes and a soft coral lip pairs perfectly with effortless waves in a half-up style. This look goes effortlessly with a leafy patterned illusion-neckline gown from Serendipity Bridal and darling shell earrings to match. Fresh florals from Bella by Sara adorn a latticed altar backdrop, and they created a lush, whimsy-filled bouquet that was slightly asymmetrical with a mix of romantic blooms. The arrangement suits this bride perfectly with a wispy texture to bring in a natural, organic feel, held together with a pale peach silk ribbon to accent. The bouquet colors mirror the colors of the ceremony install, creating a lovely cohesive look. All captured in serene detail by The Crakes, this calming summer wedding inspiration is easy breezy. Read on for notes from a few of the talented vendors that brought this editorial to life. Cheers!

From the planner, Tara of Lotus Events: “

My vision for the shoot was to capture a calm summer look with neutral, toned rentals that allowed the florals to pop. The soft toned woods, neutral accents and capiz shells offered the perfect textures that brought in a minimal coastal vibe. That perfect calm summer feel! The capiz shells were tastefully used as place cards, which were dipped in coloring to complement the flowers. I also placed them with a unique design on the cake. We had a gorgeous model showcasing a romantic gown which stayed in line with that summer style.

From the calligrapher, Megan of Owl & Envelope: “For the invitation suite, I really wanted to keep the feel of a breezy summer day, so we stuck with softer, muted colors and a lot of white space in the design with minimal text to keep everything crisp and modern. We put it all together with a vellum envelope and liner, along with white calligraphy, all of which give a great light and airy feel to the entire suite. For the table, we kept it simple with capiz shell place cards that were dip-dyed to bring in the soft pink that was tied throughout the theme.”

From the florist, Sara of Bella by Sara: “We used a variety of delicate flowers and pastel shades as garden roses, Malika spray roses and quicksand. We mostly used romantic roses and floral like butterfly ranunculus, sweet peas, queen lace and wild greenery to create a look that was perfect for the theme. The colors were neutrals, dusty and nostalgic feeling. The palette was very earthy and muted dusty rose, taupe, muted peach, ivory and hints of sage greens to incorporate fun accents to bring in a summery vibe!”

From the hair and makeup artist, Monica of Artistee Lane Makeup Studio: “We wanted to keep this look fresh with just enough flair that said ‘Oh she’s the bride!’ Starting with eyes since we want them to have the most drama and focus, go in with a medium cool taupe in the crease and corner of the eye. I covered the center of the lid with a dusty light rose shimmer to add the softness back in. We then went into the inner corner of the eye with a champagne shimmer that added that pop that we were going for. Once we finalized the eye with a wispy faux mink lash, we knew we could keep the rest of the look soft. Ambient bronzer, ambient blush and a soft pink lip completed this look. We wanted to match the fresh face look by adding a texture wave to the hair. This will allow the wave to keep all day without it being too structured. We finalized the look with pinning just a small amount back away from the face to allow the whole look to come together and be seen.”
