Kristina and Kayla’s eye-catching geode-inspired wedding is all things sleek, modern, but absolutely timeless. Kristina and Kayla’s love story began when Kristina moved back to San Antonio, and her best friend, Sierra, introduced the two. Kayla and her mom have a tradition of going to Disney World every other year. Kristina knew that eventually, their relationship would reach a point where she’d be able to partake in the adventure. Five years later, that opportunity came! Kristina hoped that this trip would potentially lead to a proposal. However, as soon as the couple got to Disney, Kristina became immersed in Disney magic and forgot about a possible engagement. After riding Kristina’s favorite ride, the Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom, the couple went to take a picture in front of the waterfall next to Pandora. As the couple took their final picture, Kayla got down on one knee and proposed. Kristina described the moment as a pure shock with lots of tears, and the two began to plan their dream wedding!
Kristina and Kayla’s road to saying “I do” to their geode inspired wedding was not an easy one. As we all know, the infamous Texas freeze/snow storm rocked the state. Due to that, the couple’s original venue in Fredericksburg could no longer host the couple. Kristina and Kayla had to make the difficult decision to move their venue to a different city to Red Berry Estate the week before the big day. Red Berry Estate provided the most elegant backdrop for their dream geode-inspired wedding. The couple most helpful vendor is no other than the amazing Caitlin Rose Photography! Caitlin went above and beyond for the couple, giving them their dream engagement shoot, being a source for any questions, and being the couple’s personal hype man on the big day.
