We can’t think of a better way to celebrate New Year’s Eve than surrounded by friends and family while saying, “I do.” Flannery and Nicholas’s New Year’s Eve Wedding was a magical combination of lush floral, delicious food by Royal Fig Catering and decor by Loot Vintage Rentals. Their vision was brought together by Wild Sky Events and features fantastic hues of navy, purple and neutrals to set the tone for the chic affair.

When high school sweethearts Flannery and Nicholas decided to return home from Ann Arbor, Michigan to Austin for their big day, they knew out-of-state wedding planning can sometimes be stressful, but with the help of Wild Sky Events, everything was easy and seamless. After an outdoor ceremony in front of a square structure framing the picturesque Texas Hill Country, the party moved inside for the reception, where the couple was able to show off the rumba moves they’d learned in pre-wedding lessons.
Flannery and Nicholas’ favorite part of the day was the first look; they met on a dirt path behind the venue and shared their custom handwritten vows with each other, knowing they would be emotional during the reception. “The entire day was a blast, and I’m glad we had everyone there to help us celebrate, but it really meant a lot to me to have that moment alone together before the ceremony and reception,” Nicholas said.
Another benefit of a New Year’s Eve wedding was hearing the celebrations from surrounding parties. “About halfway through, people in the surrounding area began their New Year’s celebrations, so we had fireworks bursting in the distance, and it added even more magic to the evening,” said Nicholas.
After celebrating into 2018, the couple left the reception to a sparkler send off.
