About The Artist
“In 2015, I was hired to run the floral department for Whim Hospitality and tasked with training and hand selecting floral designers that have truly become the creative force of my department. It is a wonderful place to work and the support system from all departments in Whim is unparalleled.

We source our product from local farms and growers in other countries such as Ecuador which gives us the opportunity to expand on design possibilities because we are able to source the best product.

I am inspired by the flowers themselves and the unlimited variety of form and line they naturally exhibit. I use the flowers’ “cues” for my inspiration. Thinking in terms of the end design is truly a complex process when ordering, selecting and sketching out all floral arrangements.”

About The Design
“I created an asymmetrically shaped bridal bouquet containing a beautiful mix of colorful and antiqued flowers such as garden roses, anemones, helleborus, ranunculus, sweet peas, protea, maiden hair fern and camellia. The vibrant pinks combined with the antique yellows made the design pop, while the greenery added the perfect delicate touch. The floral choices were made based on the quality of the flower and how they complement each other to truly make a one-of-a-kind design.

I love combining different textures and colors to create visual interest which is the key component in any floral design. In fact, when brainstorming how the final product will come to life, visual interest is my main focus.”
