Watercolor Austin Wedding from Sweet Magnolia Floral Studio | Hannah + Tom
September 30
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Hannah and Tom met in the fall of 2014 at the Texas State Fair with a group of mutual friends.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: With the help of her friends and family, Tom planned a special surprise evening for Hannah. When she arrived home, she found candles leading up to the porch where Tom was waiting for her. He had bundled candles in mason jars that were each wrapped with a special date, including that day’s date as “the day I asked you to be my wife.” He then took out a piece of wood from the porch swing he built months prior and on the bottom it read: “Will you marry me?” Tom was down on one knee at this point and Hannah said yes, through happy tears! A friend got the whole thing on film and a surprise engagement party ensued.
BOHO GLAM: Hannah chose a boho glam style for her wedding, and the color scheme was inspired by free-flowing watercolors.
GET HER LOOK: The bride wore a light and airy, soft A-line gown from Watters featuring beaded leaf embroidery on illusion tulle, pearl buttons down the back and a sweep train. This was the perfect dress to complement Hannah’s “boho glam” wedding theme.
PRETTY PAPER: To ensure the watercolor motif was present on the invitations, graphic artists hand-painted flowers on each invite and Hannah’s mother did all the calligraphy.
SAYING “I DO”: Hannah felt complete joy as her father walked her down the aisle to the man of her dreams; she will cherish the memory of those moments forever. It was surreal to know that the day she had been waiting for her entire life had finally arrived.
