On a summer night in Chicago, Annie and Andrew were brought into one another’s lives while at a mutual friend’s birthday party – one of which neither had planned on attending. Late in the evening, a request was made that Andrew get cocktails for Annie and her best friend. He obliged and also got Annie’s number. Soon after, he asked her on a date.

Five years later, the couple has moved from Chicago to Austin, traveled the world together and both changed careers.

Annie and Andrew were in Barcelona for a friend’s wedding. Upon arriving to their hotel suite, Annie opened the door to a room full of flowers, balloons and champagne – she thought they had opened someone else’s door! Andrew ushered her inside the room, got down on one knee and gave her a sparkling ring he was able to conceal the previous week in France! The elated pair celebrated afterward with friends.
