PERFECT PROPOSAL: Natalie and Noah were hiking in Telluride, Colorado, and as they approached one of the lookout points, Noah stopped a passing couple hiking ahead of them and asked them to take a picture of the couple at the lookout point. Secretly, he showed them the ring and showed that his camera was on video mode so they could capture the big moment. Natalie had always dreamed of a proposal on a mountaintop, and not only did she get her wish, but she also has the amazing moment caught on film!
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: The ceremony was the most memorable moment for the couple. Everything was extremely chaotic beforehand with severe rainstorms; not to mention, Natalie had misplaced her bouquet and vows. Once the ceremony started, everything became calm and Natalie was able to take it all in. It was the most amazing feeling for her to stand with her husband with the support of all their family surrounding them. The bride remembers looking around and enjoying how beautiful everything looked as well as feeling so loved.
HUES SHE USED: Natalie loves the romantic dusty colors of the desert. She and Noah also wanted to have all the elements of nature incorporated into their wedding since it is where they love to escape. Natalie collected stones, tree branches, feathers, cacti, succulents and tillandsia to keep the theme of nature throughout the wedding.
SAVORY SWEETS: For the bride’s cake, Coco Paloma Desserts made an almond cake filled with fresh strawberry slices and almond French butter cream finished with an amaretto soak. The bride raves that it was the best wedding cake she has ever had and can’t wait for their anniversary cake! The groom’s cake was chocolate cake with Oreo butter cream.
DELICIOUS DISHES: The food was catered by Pink Avocado Catering. For appetizers, guests enjoyed chicken and waffles for an Austin flare, mushroom risotto cakes for a little taste of Italy and some barbecue bacon sliders for Noah’s folks from Kansas. The main course was modern Texas fare.
