Every wedding season brings with it fresh ideas and new inspiration perfect for brides planning their nuptials any time in the next year. We picked up on some of the most eye-catching elements that really make all the difference and talked to industry pros about the specifics! Let us walk you through a few of this season’s top wedding trends!
Trend: Textural Elements
Lounge Decor: Party at the Moontower Event Rentals
“Using different textures creates dimension, and depending on the design, it can change the vibe of your lounge, ceremony site or any location where you’re adding rentals and decor. More and more we see couples ready to get creative, and we love mixing patterns, colors and materials to help their visions come to life!”

Deckled Paperie: Grey Meets Gold
“I have always been obsessed with handmade paper and love the fact that each sheet is unique to itself – no two will ever be exactly the same. Handmade paper provides a tactile experience that will make your guests stop to really take it in and appreciate the details. If you have a limited budget, you don’t need to go all out. Perhaps you can splurge on the invitation card or another detail of your wedding to incorporate this detail. Get creative. There’s no need to feel locked in to an all-or-nothing approach.”

Non-Traditional Wedding Jewelry: On a Limb Creative
“Texture can add so much to the visual interest of your wedding day. Luckily, texture is all in the details. Jewelry and hair accessories are a simple way to add texture and personality to your look.”

Trend: Sustainability
Sustainable Wedding Invitations: Fine Day Press
“Our standard invitation collection is printed on 100% cotton, tree-free stock, making it a great eco-friendly option! We also love printing on seed paper – besides the fun texture, your guests can enjoy beautiful wildflowers by simply soaking the invitation in water, and planting it under a thin layer of soil. The seed paper we use is handmade by a wonderful company in Colorado and has about a 70% sprout rate (highest in the industry). All of the seeds are non-GMO and sourced in the USA.”

Repurposed Wedding Floral: Jordan Flowers & Events
“As our clients become increasingly environmentally conscious, it’s important to make sure their event reflects their same values. A common misconception most people have regarding what is considered a sustainable centerpiece is that you’re limited to live plants or succulents. However, there are so many sustainable options outside of the norm that we can offer to help reduce waste. Centerpieces can be repurposed or reused to bring joy to others. This is the inspiration for our Making Happiness Bloom program. We partner with Senior Access to deliver event arrangements to Austin seniors, so when you buy an arrangement or centerpiece for your special day, you are buying an arrangement that will be picked up after your event and delivered the following business day without any additional charge to Senior Access Clients to continue to enjoy for days to come.”

Trend: Interactive Stations
Dessert Station: The Cupcake Bar
“Bringing an interactive element to your wedding is a fun way to engage the crowd and create a memorable experience! Our interactive desserts at weddings can be a fun, unexpected treat, and offerings are truly endless. For example, we offer our original cupcake bar with cupcake bartenders, a doughnut wall for that late-night celebration or our roaming treats filled with goodies like candy and glow sticks. Each set up is totally unique and allows for complete customization, whether that be through colors, trends, menu or even wedding logos. The options are endless, and that is really what makes the interactive dessert experience something people will be talking about for years to come!”

A new and unique addition to the wedding industry from Live Love Relax, wedding day massages allow you to shed the stress and anxiety so you can experience your wedding day with calm focus and more fully-immersed excitement. Trend: Going Big
Multi-Tiered Wedding Cake: Sweet Treets Bakery
“This towering, five-tier white on white beauty has a sugar flower nestled into the front with over 100 matching petals cascading across the cake. These flower explosions have to be handmade weeks in advance so they have time to dry, but it’s so worth the stunning result. It goes without saying that the cake stand and florals selected here really set this cake table up as a show-stopping focal point of this very large wedding, but what we adore most is the sweet, personal touch requested by the bride and groom. If you look closely at the edge of the fourth tier, you’ll see a replica of their pup sitting on the cake. Sentimental touches like these have a beautiful way of making a large wedding seem more intimate and go a long way to reveal more about the couple to their guests.”

Statement Chairs: Marquee Event Rentals
“The King Louis chair is so on-trend right now. With many couples opting for a micro-wedding, an outdoor venue or a backyard wedding, this chair has a sophisticated and enduring style that adds opulence to any space. Because this chair is upholstered, it creates a rich, ultra-personal, residential feel. The clean lines of the Neoclassical style make it as elegant as it is comfortable!”

Custom Engagement Ring: Nicole Mera
“Coming out of the current health crisis, I have noticed couples are really celebrating their love, and with that comes creating the custom ring hey have always dreamed of. Some are creating “big looks” by adding delicate double halos or even cluster halos around their diamonds. Couples want to make their rings unique and one-of-a-kind, and one of the best ways to do that is to create an engagement ring with diamonds on every single angle. They are creating these looks while pairing their rings with big and bold wedding bands to match.”

Creative Seating Charts: Design to Flourish
“Having a large scale seating chart gives you the opportunity to create a WOW moment for your guests and showcase your style as a couple. There are so many options that go beyond the simple paper escort card display that can serve as both a beautiful addition to your wedding decor and offer functionality by directing your guests to their seats.”
