Wed Society® | Austin 2024 Cover Wedding

Introducing our 2024 Book of Weddings cover couple, the Ludmirs! We are thrilled to showcase this extraordinary wedding, shot by Light as Gold Photography, selected to represent Wed Society | Austin. Shelly’s stunning beauty look was done by Think Brink Beauty and she was made for a cover! Every detail of this celebration was infused with vibrant, eclectic charm, and Plan On It Events brought it to life. 

The Ceremony

From the wildflower-lined aisles to the enchanting walkway leading to the ceremony, the Ludmirs transformed The Grand Lady into a whimsical wonderland. The earthy tones of the décor from Loot Rentals, Whim Hospitality, BBJ Tavola, Premiere Events, and Party at the Moontower Event Rentals perfectly complemented the crisp white attire of Shelly and Daniel, making the couple truly stand out. Their Jewish wedding featured a breathtaking acrylic chuppah, adorned with lush greenery and wildflowers that seemed to climb toward the sky. Shelly and Daniel exchanged vows atop a pristine white riser, adding an extra touch of elegance to the moment they said, “I do.”

The Party

As the night unfolded, the Ludmirs’ celebration transformed into an unforgettable party. Their reception and cocktail hour were brimming with excitement, featuring a mechanical bull, custom T-shirts, and espresso martinis from Peak Bev flowing freely. Guests were treated to Vogue Vignette’s live fashion sketches capturing the evening’s style, adding a unique artistic touch to the festivities. The dance floor was a true spectacle, with Dart Collective spinning tunes and balloons and confetti cascading from above, creating a vibrant and joyous atmosphere. The Ludmirs undoubtedly knew how to throw an epic party!

The Ludmirs Favorite Moment

“One of our favorite wedding day memories has to be right after the ceremony, after walking back down the aisle to Donna Summer’s “Love to Love You Baby,” performed by one of our favorite Austin bands. At the end of the aisle, we ducked away into the mansion at The Grand Lady and snuck up to a room on the top floor of the mansion for a private moment together before our couples’ portraits. The view from up there was stunning, looking down at all our guests enjoying the beginning of cocktail hour in the courtyard. Thanks to our incredible planner Shelby, we found two of our signature drinks prepared by the amazing bar team at Peak Beverage: a habanero margarita for me and a vodka, sake, mango cocktail for Daniel. It was our first moment of alone time all day. We laughed about how surreal everything felt and took a much-needed breath. It was the perfect small, intimate moment in the midst of the huge celebration. That little pause allowed us to connect and reflect on what had brought us to that exact moment.”
