Fall in Love with the Warm Tones of this Austin Desert Wedding

This wedding takes “edgy Austin desert” to another level with its trendy Modwest style, a perfect blending of modernized southwestern wedding details. Kristen and Manny first met in 2012 – her college roommate introduced him when he came over to help her with a school project last-minute. The pair started spending a lot of time together adventuring around Austin, hiking and searching for the best local mac and cheese and margarita. Eventually, they realized “just friends” didn’t cut it anymore since they clicked on every level. Both think it’s wild they found each other at such a young age, but when you know, you really know. Now in their Austin desert wedding, Feather & Twine captures their genuine love for each other and so many sweet and stylish details that brought it all together for one stunning celebration. Vintage-inspired rentals in wicker and cane, as well as a round wooden altar backdrop and slatted wood seating for ceremony and reception, accentuate every wedding scene and Loot Rentals, Premiere Events and Table Manners all brought the best pieces together to design this earth-toned wedding. Colorblock details and warm hues are channeling the desert, while romance and edgy Austin vibes show themselves through pampas grass and exquisite dried floral design that are spread tastefully throughout this weddingscape. These newlyweds prepared for a fun-filled reception, and with Hype Rhythm DJ on site, good luck keeping your guests in their seats! Their DJ and live drummer combo will have your dance floor full from start to finish. Since Kristen and Manny were both introduced to Mexican sweet bread at an early age, they knew they wanted to incorporate pan dulce in their wedding. The sweet treat brings back a lot of fond memories for both of them since it was something they each enjoyed with their families on weekend mornings with coffee. Sentimental details and style go hand-in-hand in this Austin desert wedding! Read on for a note from the bride about one of her favorite wedding day memories, the unity ceremony that was so much more fitting for Kristen and Manny than traditional candle lighting or sand pouring. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Flores!

From the bride: “Manny and I thought it would be amazing to incorporate a tequila shot into our ceremony. Some people do candles or sand, but that was not our style. Our unity tequila shot was my favorite wedding day memory! It was such a fun way to enter our union, and if I’m being honest, it was so ‘us.’ It gave us the opportunity to look back at our guests, soak in the moment, and say ‘salud!’ to new beginnings.”
