Week after week, our team receives and showcases stunning weddings from across Austin, all courtesy of the immensely talented wedding vendors and lovely couples who submit to us. Each month, our editorial team selects one spectacular wedding to highlight, one that stands above the rest for its uniqueness and beauty.
This month, we’re spotlighting an eclectic, artistic, and boldly charming wedding. Taylor and Alexander said “I do” on April 18, 2025.
Taylor & Alexander’s April Celebration at Prospect House
Taylor and Alexander’s wedding was a masterclass in intentional celebration — a day that effortlessly blended quiet romance with bold accents, all set against the modern architecture and Hill Country backdrop of Prospect House. Every thoughtful detail told a piece of their story, from their private vow exchange beneath an oak tree to the curated lounge vignettes and high-energy dance floor.
Their private vows took place under a sprawling oak tree, bathed in soft April light, creating a naturally serene setting for their most intimate moment. The ceremony space had a geometric arbor designed by Native Bloom Floral stood as a striking, organic focal point — minimalist yet artistic, perfectly framing the couple as they said “I Do”.
As guests arrived, they were welcomed by a vibrant green seating chart installation that read “We saved you a seat,” paired with illustrated table assignments. This wasn’t just a logistics tool — it was an artistic statement, seamlessly styled by Rust and Relics to set the tone for the thoughtful experience that followed. Nearby, baskets of bright clementines and limes added a pop of color and a playful nod to spring, offering a sensory and symbolic start to the celebration.
The reception space was a feast for the eyes. Under a canopy of warm string lights, tables draped in patterned BBJ La Tavola linens were topped with glowing tapers, vintage glassware, and tiny lamps that lent a cozy, intimate feel. Every inch of the space felt refined, yet relaxed. Quest Events brought the atmosphere to life with expertly installed draping and stage design that transformed the venue from serene ceremony to dance-party-ready celebration.
Florals by Native Bloom Floral elevated every scene, weaving together wildflower-inspired color palettes and whimsical textures. From the bride’s bouquet to the soft arrangements tucked into table corners, the flowers tied together the aesthetic with natural ease and elevated charm.
Beauty was equally considered. Taylor’s classic look was crafted by Think Brink Beauty, whose hair and makeup artists brought out her glow with a timeless touch. Her wedding party looked just as radiant, each styled to echo the effortless elegance of the day.
Once the dance floor opened, Dart Collective took over — spinning a custom set that kept the energy pulsing late into the night. Their vibe matched the couple’s vision: upbeat, unexpected, and full of joy. Scattered throughout the venue were playful personal touches — including vintage-style playing cards and disposable cameras — that invited guests to interact and capture candid memories from their own perspective.
Taylor and Alexander’s wedding didn’t just look beautiful — it felt authentic. It was a celebration rooted in meaning, curated with care, and delivered with effortless style. A true reflection of their love: intentional, vibrant, and completely their own.
