This month, we’re spotlighting a dreamy lakeside celebration at The Contemporary ATX – Laguna Gloria. Sarah and Josh said “I do” on May 18, 2024.  

Sarah + Josh’s Favorite Wedding Day Memory

“Can everything be an answer? If we had to choose it would be between our vow readings and first dance. We chose to do a private first look before the ceremony where we shared our vows. This was such a peaceful and memorable moment for us to have with each other to share our love and future promises. Our other favorite was our first dance, we practiced for months in our living room a dance we choreographed together from YouTube videos and we loved how it turned out! Now whenever our first dance song comes on, it takes us right back to that moment and we can’t help but dance to it.”

The Wedding Day

The Papermasters’ garden-inspired wedding was nothing short of a dream. But before the celebration began, let’s rewind to the night before. Their intimate rehearsal dinner set the tone for the weekend—a velvet-draped room adorned with stunning tablescapes, miniature lamps, and lush florals, creating an atmosphere of warmth and elegance.

The following day, The Contemporary ATX – Laguna Gloria served as the breathtaking backdrop for their garden party wedding. With lakefront views and towering trees, the venue felt like a secret garden brought to life. A palette of soft pinks, warm yellows, and vibrant oranges wove through every detail, from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the lush floral arrangements and even the cake.

Sophia was a vision in a strapless white gown, featuring a dramatic bow detail on the back. As guests gathered for the outdoor ceremony, the aisle was lined with greenery and bright orange blooms, leading to Josh, eagerly awaiting his bride.

For the reception, a mix of long and round tables filled the space, each adorned with printed linens, woven chargers, and clay vases overflowing with garden blooms. Beneath a stunning tent, Sarah and Josh’s custom blue-patterned dance floor became the heart of the evening, illuminated by woven chandeliers draped in greenery. As night fell, string lights cast a romantic glow over the scene, setting the perfect ambiance for an unforgettable evening.

The celebration ended on a high note with a chic dress change and a dazzling streamer exit—a perfect sendoff for a night filled with love, beauty, and pure magic.
