Vows that Wow — Danielle & Stephen

Each month, our editorial team selects one spectacular wedding to highlight, one that stands above the rest for its uniqueness and beauty. 

This month features a Tuscan-inspired wedding with an organic, vintage feel. Pops of jewel tones and warm, rusty hues make for a lovely mid-autumn celebration that took place on November 4, 2023.

How the Couple Met

Danielle and Stephen have always been in each other’s lives, but they didn’t know until meeting in Austin. While still in college, Danielle worked at the Flying Saucer as a server with her best friend, Haley, and Stephen was a regular at the bar. After a few months, Haley threw herself a birthday party and invited both Danielle and Stephen.

“We went to a steakhouse and downtown to 6th street. Little did either of us know that that night would be the first of the many days we would spend absolutely glued to each other,” writes the bride. “We talked all night and stayed up until the sun rose before we fell asleep.”

After the two had been together for some time, they realized even throughout their childhoods they were around one another. “We had similar childhood friends and even determined that we both attended the same crawfish boil as kids and still never met,” the bride writes. “We were truly meant to meet in the best of ways: at a bar, with a beer, in Austin.”

The Wedding Day

Danielle and Stephen tied the knot at Windemere Farms surrounded by over 700 acres of beautiful hill country. They had a sunny outdoor ceremony, where guests were welcomed by a unique sign made by Design to Flourish.

After saying “I do,” the couple and their guests retreated under a tent for the reception. Each table was decked out with decor and rentals from BBJ La Tavola and Whim Hospitality. Capturing all the fun moments and sweet details was Reverent Wedding Films.

Thanks to their rockstar wedding planner, Kailee Roberts Design, Danielle and Stephen were able to relax and enjoy their special day to its fullest extent. “I will always say that Kailee Roberts is an absolute dream! She truly vouches for you every step of the way and makes your life so much less stressful,” writes the bride.

“The thing that truly overwhelms Stephen and I when thinking about the day is how we just had fun. … We played like we were kids. We giggled throughout our ceremony and didn’t take anything too seriously. … Even when we were told our cake had fallen Stephen and I could not help but laugh in the moment.”
