Vintage Austin Wedding at Pecan Springs Ranch Captured by Emilie Anne Photography | Kelsey + Garrett

PERFECT PROPOSAL: Kelsey was visiting Garrett in Gulfport, Mississippi, over 4th of July weekend. Garrett had the weekend off from Navy training and planned to surprise Kelsey by taking her skydiving. Garrett seemed nervous, but Kelsey just figured it had to do with the fact that he was jumping out of a plane—a perfect cover-up! A couple of friends tagged along under the assumption that they would skydive after them, but they were really there to record the whole event. They jumped in tandem, and after landing, Kelsey eagerly ran up to Garrett. Garrett hugged her then knelt down on one knee as he proposed. Kelsey immediately started crying and shouting yes! The whole weekend was perfect.

THE SETTING: Kelsey and Garrett were married at Pecan Springs Ranch. They loved the open venue and the variety of location options. Their ceremony was beneath a beautiful, lush oak tree, and after, the reception moved inside as the band played under a pavilion. The whole space allowed guests to roam and enjoy games on the lawn. A truly charming, beautiful space that included everything they needed for the special day of events!

HUES SHE USED: Kelsey’s wedding was vintage chic. She incorporated a variety of antiques into her silver and gold décor. Her color palette included nude, dusty rose, ivory and taupe with deep reds. Kelsey’s coordinator helped to pull everything together and brought her wedding vision to life.

AMAZING ALTAR: Kelsey and Garrett used a long drape to frame the scene under the oak tree and had a rustic chandelier hanging from the center. Kelsey’s brother officiated the wedding, making the ceremony incredibly special for the couple.

SPECIAL TOUCHES: Kelsey’s dad handmade two oak anchors for their guests to sign as they arrived to the wedding. Kelsey and Garrett now have them hanging in their living room as mementoes from their special day.
