SWEET BEGINNINGS: Amy and Craig have always been backyard neighbors. On October 5, 2012, Craig knocked on Amy’s door to introduce himself as he was riding his bike to yoga class. He asked her out to dinner that night and she said yes. They hit it off effortlessly.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Craig proposed to Amy on several occasions, but she just wasn’t quite ready. He didn’t want to push her, so he told her that when she felt ready for the next step, she could ask him. After an anniversary dinner at Eden East, she presented Craig with a card. On the front were a bride and groom on a scooter and the word, “Congratulations!” She wrote inside, “…will be in order same time, same place 2014.” Also enclosed were a down payment check and a contract to rent Springdale Farm on their anniversary the following year. And just like that, Amy and Craig were finally engaged.
AISLE STYLE: Amy and Craig did not have a traditional aisle. The ceremony venue was more like a theater, so the couple stood on a beautiful Persian rug from Loot Vintage Rentals under a sparkling chandelier hanging from a grand old tree on the farm.
THE DRESS CODE: Amy and Craig asked all of their guests to dress bohemian chic. They wanted everyone to feel relaxed and have fun, and everyone had a ball dressing up! The outfits, along with yard games and fizzy grapefruit Deep Eddy Vodka cocktails, were great icebreakers!
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: Amy and Craig loved when their officiant, Elaine Christine, created a fun call-and-response with the guests before they exchanged vows. She said, “When you meet the person whom you know you want to spend your life with, you say ‘hell yeah!’” and everyone yelled back, “Hell yeah!”
VENDOR LOVE: Emily at Bird Dog Wedding and Sarah at Loot worked together to create pure magic! Emily took over everything the month before the wedding so Amy didn’t have to stress or worry about a thing.
