Urban Destination Engagement from David McCandless

Shanon and Alex met senior year of college during a spring break trip to Cancun, but didn’t rekindle their old flames until later on during post-grad.  After about four years and countless Bloody Mary’s later, Alex proposed to Shannon on the same Andy Warhol Bridge that he first asked her to be his girlfriend! The couple had some serious sparks flying during their urban Pittsburgh engagement session with David McCandless Photography. They explored the Mexican War Streets in Pittsburgh’s North Side neighborhood before making a stop alongside the river overlooking the city. The couple got to show off their immense love for the place where it all began, while simultaneously capturing the whimsy of  water. We are adoring the shots spotlighting her delicate solitaire engagement ring, and of course, the genuine look of love in each others’ eyes.

This lovely couple is getting married on July, 11 2020, along the river in Aspinwall, Pennsylvania. Shannon and Alex are planning a bohemian affair with bursts of pink and purple florals against an array of succulents. Sounds pretty dreamy to us! Cheers to the soon-to-be Olon’s!

From the bride: “I was heading back to West Virginia from another weekend in Pittsburgh when I got a text from Alex asking me to watch the Steeler game with him. I quickly made a U-turn and stopped at my friends to change my outfit. In my excitement, I locked my keys and my phone in the trunk of my car. He thought I’d blown him off by the time I finally made it to his place. We went to a bar to watch the game while I waited for Honda roadside assistance to arrive to unlock my car. At the end of our date, he walked me to my car, grabbed me by the waist and dipped me back for a kiss. I smiled the entire way home!”
