This two-day celebration with traditional Nigerian and American wedding elements is giving us all the inspo! The couple incorporated the groom’s Nigerian heritage by having a traditional Nigerian engagement on Friday. They continued the party on Saturday with an American wedding. The groom’s family wore traditional Nigerian clothes on both days, making the wedding bright, festive and fun! This couple got the best of both worlds with a colorful celebration one day and a moody color scheme the next.
On Saturday, the couple celebrated their love at Hotel Van Zandt, where the groomsmen rang in the day by playing Xbox while the bridesmaids got ready. The couple did a first look in the stylish hotel lobby, and the incredible photos by Boulevard Photography didn’t stop there. Their ceremony was extra special as a close friend officiated it, and the couple had readings by immediate family members. One of the readings was from the Supreme Court Case Obergefell v. Hodges, which is the ruling that the fundamental right to marry is a guarantee for same-sex couples. They thought it was fitting, given that the bride and her husband feel passionate about that. After the ceremony, the bride and groom started the reception on a high note when they danced to “Starboy” by The Weekend. While the dancing continued all night, the couple and guests made sure to make time to grab a slice of cake from Sweet Treets Bakery. Thankfully, Reverent Wedding Films captured both days so the couple can always look back at the most special day. Check out their photos and wedding video below! Cheers Mrs. and Mr. Adetutu!

From Joyce on her favorite memory: “My favorite wedding day memory was dancing into our reception to ‘Starboy.’ When we entered, the whole room started dancing around us. It really set the tone for the reception, and as a result, it was a party from start to finish.”
