Traditional Wedding Inspiration Full of Floral and Whimsy

Simplistic and sweet was the name of the game in this traditional wedding inspiration filled with touches of whimsy around a famously flipped venue setting. It was décorated to the nines by planner Blue Sparrow Events for this shoot, but first by Fixer Uppers Chip and Joanna Gaines who turned its gazebo, porch and more into the stuff of elegant wedding dreams. This bride model has all eyes on her with a V-neck ballgown gown that ties in with the exquisite nature of the day where classic and plentiful florals with a pop of romantic red and soft lavender from Remi + Gold inspire minimalist rose details on paperie and more. Natural wood pieces from Premiere Event Rentals tie in with the venue details and if we weren’t hooked already, this traditional wedding inspiration spiced it up with a decadent cake design featuring romantic script and a whimsical, blue bottom tier. Adding just the right amount of twist to traditional wedding inspiration, we’re obsessed with this whimsy-filled affair. Read on for a note from the planner for more about this venue’s Fixer Upper roots. Cheers!

From the planner: “The world of home renovations has been shiplapped over thanks to Chip and Joanna Gaines in Waco, Texas. They have brought together millions of viewers every week with their designs and renovations on their HGTV show ‘Fixer Upper’ but it has been their fun-loving relationship and playful chemistry that has kept the world watching for five seasons.

Fixer Upper took their style to a historic 1903 mansion when they bought their second rental vacation property, Hillcrest Estates. 116 years of history and modern elements were the source of inspiration for this wedding shoot on their newest rental property.

The mansion has sweeping southern porches, tall standing columns, dark painted shutters, and a chapel-gazebo outback with its crawling vines up the latticework, (which the HGTV stars chose to leave in place in the backyard, but with a little Magnolia freshening up). The mansion looks straight out of our Southern loving heart dreams.”
