Wedding Inspiration

This Wedding’s Color Palette was Inspired by the Tones of a Texas Sunset

We all know how unbelievable gorgeous a sunset over the Texas horizon is, and that’s exactly why this couple wanted their fall wedding day to reflect that gradient of tones! Shirley and Kevin are huge lovers of Austin and everything it has to offer, and they decorated their wedding day to showcase all of the reasons they love this city. Sweet shades of peach, dusty rose and buttercup yellow cover this scene at The Addison Grove in autumnal warmth and coziness, bringing in a bit of that unique Austin flair. Settled against rustic dark wood accents and cascading lush greenery, this whole day has an organic, nature-inspired feel that keeps us longing for crisp fall days. The Bloom Bar’s expert floral artistry draws us more and more into this scene, as the organic and rustic-yet-elegant florals in soft autumnal hues work in perfect harmony with the bride’s vision to keep things simple, natural, and to highlight all of the beauty of The Addison Grove. Shirley’s timeless and romantic bridal look of a classic A-line, strapless bridal gown with a floral lace overlay in the softest shade of blush is truly stunning and combines with the tones of her day seamlessly. Their lovely three-tiered, textured icing wedding cake from Sweet Treets Bakery with a stunning floral installation was a perfect way to end the evening before heading to the JW Marriott Austin. Scroll to see the Texas sunset-inspired tones of this day and to read about the bride’s favorite memory. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Wang!

From the bride: “It’s easy to get swept away in a whirlwind of well-wishes during the reception, with the outpouring of love from happy friends and family in all directions, so it was especially nice that we had opted for a private last dance at the end of the night. We slow-danced to a favorite song in the hush of The Addison Grove barn under dimmed lights, which was a special moment that let us bottle away that luminous feeling of being newlyweds, before heading out the barn doors for our grand sparkler exit.”
