Taylor Lopez and Brandt Weimar’s Classic Lakeside Austin Wedding

SWEET BEGINNINGS: Taylor and Brandt knew of each other in high school but never got together. When a mutual friend got married, she assigned their seats next to one another. Turns out, she did it on purpose because she thought they would be perfect for each other! The pair hit it off – they chatted through dinner and danced the night away.

THE SETTING: Villa Del Lago’s pavilion is located next to the beautiful mansion with a long, tree-lined lawn that ends with an incredible waterfall. The ceremony space overlooks Lake Travis and the grounds look like a beautiful garden. This was the perfect space to have an outdoor wedding with the convenience of a pavilion for dancing. Lakes are a huge part of Taylor and Brandt’s life because they love to be on the water. Having a lake in the background was something that fit the couple’s personalities perfectly. The venue was also special because it is where Taylor and Brandt’s relationship began at their friend’s wedding. It was unique because everything came full circle in the same place.

HUES SHE USED: Taylor used gray, white, gold, and black because she loves how the colors are neutral and classic.

THE GOWN: Taylor wore a lovely silk satin dress, richly adorned with lace appliqués and a sheer back with pearl fastening. Her long flounced train had lace trim and lace medallion appliqués, while the veil was custom-made to match the dress.

SPECIAL TRADITIONS: Taylor and Brandt aren’t big on traditions, but they decided to do a cake-cutting and first dance. Taylor’s first dance was with her grandpa because she wanted to incorporate all of the special men in her life. Her step-dad officiated the wedding.
