Wedding Inspiration

A Contemporary “Taste of the World” Wedding Theme

Brent and Hailey’s contemporary wedding celebration stemmed from their travel dedication. The international-inspired “Taste of the World” theme allowed guests to “travel” throughout the day and experience different elements of their wedding. Thankfully, Mrs. Planner was there as the night unraveled, so Brent and Hailey could also travel all day without feeling astray. This ode to an oasis should be the basis for any couple on cloud nine; featuring the United States, Mexico, Italy and Asian countries, this was a fabulous fantasia. Each location offered something new from mouth-watering mac and cheese, palatable potstickers, humbling homemade pasta and scrumptious street tacos. Our tummies are rumbling just at the thought of this uniquely tasty affair. Oh and that’s not all, each station brought new booze accommodating each crew; including espresso martinis, White Russians, Moscow mules, dirty martinis and more! And of course, we are utterly sold by the details of white, navy and gold. The bride held white roses with accents of blue blooms, and the tabletop florals all from Bouquets of Austin became an eccentric aspect of this modern wedding. Marquee Event Rentals brought light to the night and delicate decor ideal for the floor. Sweet Treets Bakery made a four-tiered white wedding cake with a floral embrace and elegant monogram. Obviously, one of the best parts about traveling is the accommodations, and Horseshoe Bay Resort made this couple’s day! From the bride on her favorite wedding detail: “Brent and I love to travel and that’s always been such a big part of our relationship. We love to try different foods, learn about different cultures, and host dinner parties for friends, so we knew that had to be a big part of our day. We made the theme of the wedding a ‘Taste Of The World,’ with a modern, contemporary vibe attached. We had people ‘travel’ to different countries for dinner and drinks.”
