Summer Boho Austin Wedding from Gypsy Floral & Event Design | Averi + Alan
September 20
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Averi and Alan met in geography class during their freshman year of high school. The two were good friends until their junior year when everything changed. They began dating and have been together ever since!
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Averi and Alan were heading to her parent’s lake house for a weekend with family and friends. Everyone was running late, so her sister and brother-in-law were the only two there. Averi’s sister offered to grab dinner, which gave the couple a chance to walk to the dock. As Alan and Averi watched the sunset with their beloved pugs, he proposed! Turns out, her sister was actually hiding behind a trashcan taking pictures of the proposal. Alan had one more surprise for Averi – four of her closest friends came in town later that evening to celebrate with the couple.
THE SETTING: The Sacred Oaks at Camp Lucy is a terraced ceremony site canopied by a grove of illuminated ancient oak trees, and a timber-framed Great Hall with a built-in bar as well as amazing bride and groom rooms. Averi couldn’t imagine marrying her best friend anywhere else after seeing the gorgeous venue.
ROMANTIC BOHO: Averi loves summer and all the colors associated with it. To give her romantic boho-themed wedding a whimsical touch, she chose a color palette of white, crème, peach, blush, celadon sea glass, and bright pops of pink and gold.
SAVORY SWEETS: Averi and Alan had a simple white and gold wedding cake with a pink peony, and of course, they couldn’t forget the pug cake toppers. Averi also added doughnuts because she loves the delectable dessert.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: Gypsy Floral & Events created a colorful, gathered bouquet of peonies, ranunculus, Juliet garden roses, stock, and astilbe accented with olive and bay leaves. Averi was blown away by the work that Gypsy Floral did. They made her visions come to life and their contributions were much more than she ever expected.
