Shari Richards and Tyrell Gatewood’s Romantic Austin Wedding at The Vista on Seward Hill
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Shari and Tyrell met their freshman year at the University of Texas. They always had a great friendship and decided to officially date in 2009.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Shari and Tyrell always celebrate their birthdays at Eddie V’s. Tyrell’s 30th birthday was approaching and Shari planned an early dinner celebration where she surprised him with a trip to Jamaica. After dinner in front of all of Shari’s friends and family, Tyrell surprised her with a proposal.
GET HER LOOK: The bride wore a Galia Lahav Loretta gown with a body-exuding bodice and an extravagant tulle skirt with a detachable train. The dress was a combination of blush and ivory made of crochet ivory lace and embellished with pearls and crystals. Shari borrowed her veil from her sister, which was a blush waist-length veil embellished with crystals around the trim. She finished off her look with Tiffany pearl earrings and a dazzling bracelet.
THE SETTING: The Vista on Seward Hill was everything Shari wanted for her big day. The venue is naturally beautiful and doesn’t need a lot of decoration. It fulfilled her dream of an outdoor ceremony and separate rooms for dinner and dancing.
HUES SHE USED: Shari wanted to have a romantic modern theme throughout her wedding. She used hues of blush and neutrals to help her achieve a modern glam vibe.
