SWEET BEGINNING: Samantha and Bryan are both Austin-born graduates of Westlake High School. They knew each other long before dating as Samantha, a cheerleader, cheered from the sidelines while Bryan played left halfback for the WHS football team. After graduating, they went their separate ways: Samantha to Texas State University and Bryan to California State University-Northridge for baseball. The two reconnected years later after Samantha moved to Dallas for a new job and Bryan had returned to Austin. It wasn’t long before the distance was too far; Bryan moved to Dallas later that year and so began their life together.

A PERFECT PROPOSAL: Seven years later, Bryan proposed to Samantha hours before her 30th birthday party. They were at the family lake house in Austin where they were able to celebrate the weekend with family and friends.

CONTEMPORARY ENGLISH GARDEN: Samantha is an interior designer and wanted all aspects, including linens, décor, lighting and florals, to feel as though they were selected using contemporary patterned linens and place settings. They also incorporated Bryan’s geology background using agate slices as place settings and quartz décor. They wanted guests to see their touch in each aspect of the design. Samantha used hues of white, gold and green to achieve an English garden vibe.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: Bryan forgot his tuxedo and packed a dark blue suit instead! He ended up having to borrow the bride’s father’s tuxedo and trade jackets with a groomsman.
