PERFECT PROPOSAL: Steven planned a trip to Michigan to visit Karlye’s family and go to a Detroit Lions game, or so she thought. Karlye later found out that was just a decoy for the real event. Before a “family dinner,” Steven took Karlye down to the lake where he asked her to marry him. After the proposal, Karlye was surprised by all of their friends and family who flew in to celebrate their engagement.

HUES SHE USED: Karlye wanted to embrace being a new Texan by implementing a rustic vibe into their romantic, feminine look. She used blush and gold to bring a soft, vintage feel and added burgundy and Marsala to complement the fall season!

BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: The Flower Girl designed Karlye’s bouquet. They used peach Juliet garden roses, blush pink O’Hara garden roses, white astrantia, pink astilbe and succulents as a textural base for the bouquet. They added pops of color with cranberry mini calla lilies and burgundy hypericum berry. The eucalyptus, mint leaves and honey bracelet greenery added the softness making the bouquet lush and romantic.

SAVORY SWEETS: Karlye was drawn to the simple and elegant exposed-layer cake created by Sweet Treets Bakery. The Flower Girl added beautiful florals on top, making it perfect! As baseball lovers, Karlye and Steven have a personal goal to visit every Major League Baseball stadium. They knew the groom’s cake needed to showcase their favorite teams, the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers!

VENDOR LOVE: Karlye loved working with Pink Parasol Designs & Coordinating! They were always available to answer her questions, steer her in the right direction and help create her wedding vision. They made her experience as a bride so fun and stress-free!
