Yvette Ruiz Weds Ken Krumhansl | Romantic Industrial Austin Wedding at Springdale Station
by Lindsey Craig January 23
With a super cool venue like Springdale Station, lovebirds Yvette and Ken were bound to have the romantic industrial Austin wedding of their dreams! Party at the Moontower provided the perfect rentals to complete the space, and The Powder Sugar Room crafted a delicious nearly naked wedding cake for the celebration. Cheers to Yvette and Ken!

Yvette and Ken met fortuitously during SXSW in March 2016. Ken was out with a few friends, and Yvette was invited to join them by a mutual friend she hadn’t seen in years. As soon as they met, Ken was taken by her charm and energy. Yvette was a little skeptical at Ken’s inquisitive nature, but they spent the rest of the evening getting to know each other. Their first “real date” was a few weeks later for coffee, which turned into dinner and a late night walk.
For their wedding, Yvette and Ken wanted to focus on love and community. They did a first look with their photographers and from that point forward made it a priority to spend as much of their wedding day as they could with their guests. To kick off the first dance, they danced to a very romantic saxophone solo on a candlelit floor.
