Emily and Mike’s story began after being introduced by friends at church in College Station. Both were attending Texas A&M University and quickly began an effortless friendship. It was as though their paths were destined to cross; the pair quickly realized that they were made for each other.

Mike organized a getaway weekend as a ruse for the perfect proposal. With all of their friends in tow at Canyon Lake, Texas, he was able to pull off a surprise, romantic proposal. After a day of fun, the couple was heading to dinner – or so Emily thought. She could tell he was acting strange, but didn’t think much of it until he pulled into a park. Mike invited Emily to a gazebo where he asked her to marry him. She was so overwhelmed with emotion, she doesn’t remember saying much, but she definitely said yes!
