A Timelessly Romantic Austin Engagement from Mint Photography

An air of stately sophistication is among the many things we love about this adorable Austin engagement session captured by Mint Photography. In timelessly romantic garden scenes, these lovebirds pose for effortless shots depicting the love they are about to make a forever thing! Samantha and William were first introduced through a mutual friend while attending separate colleges in Fort Worth – Samantha, at UNT and William, at TCU. After a night of Tex-Mex and margaritas, followed by a Hawaiian-Luau-themed party at one of William’s now-groomsmen’s house, the rest was history and the pair have been inseparable since! When you read their adorable proposal story (just after the Austin engagement gallery by Mint Photography) you will totally get why their upcoming November wedding to be held at Ma Maison will be European-chic in theme, filled with elegant, soft pastels and travel-inspired elements. In fact, there is one elevated wedding detail Samantha says she is most excited about. “We hired a live wedding painter, which is one of my favorite details because we’ll be able to have a wonderful keepsake, and also have something the guests can interact with,” she says. We can’t imagine a more tasteful way to encapsulate your special day in memory forever! Read on for that sweet how-he-asked story we mentioned above, but make sure you have tissues on hand. Cheers to Samantha and William!

From the bride: “We went on vacation to Spain in December of 2019, planning to spend New Year’s Eve in Madrid. We’ve started a little tradition of getting our pictures taken professionally so we have beautiful memories from our travels, (and have an excuse to get all dressed up), so we scheduled pictures for the morning of New Year’s in the Sabatini Gardens. We ended up not being able to get into the gardens because one of the entrances was having extensive work done, and our photographer thought it was closed. Our photographer felt so bad that she spent a long time with us walking around the city instead, and got some amazing pictures we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to. When the time came, the photographer had me face the Royal Palace of Madrid while behind me, William got on one knee.”
