Payton Walker and Dylan Skogman’s Rustic Austin Wedding at Firefly Farm Events
Payton and Dylan’s story began on the water of Lake McQueeney as teenagers, but didn’t turn into love until six years later in the Colorado mountains. When it was time to propose, Dylan planned a surprise dog-sledding trip while they were back in the mountains for Valentine’s Day. It was the perfect surprise for the animal lover and nature junkie. When the wedding planning began, Payton and Dylan struggled to find a venue that was available to accommodate their 500 guests. Much to their surprise, Payton’s parents decided they would just build a venue to suit their needs. After six months of hard work, Firefly Farm was completed the day of the wedding, just in time to say, “I do.” When the barn doors opened to walk down the aisle, it was so beautiful Payton got chills. To finish off the fairytale beginning, butterflies arrived unplanned during the vows — pure magic!
