Katie Jacobson Weds Jarrius James | Pastel Southern Wedding at Camp Lucy

Katie and Jarrius had an absolute blast at their pastel southern wedding at Camp Lucy! Katie envisioned a true southern celebration (with abundant monograms and organic florals of course!) and Whim Hospitality made so many of her dreams come true with the perfect florals and decor as well as delicious catering. Katie and Jarrius met through an Instagram message that led to a trip to Austin from San Antonio during Jarrius’s football bye week. Ever since, they’ve been inseparable. The couple eventually moved to Katie’s hometown of Appleton, Wisconsin. They were finishing their house when Jarrius had a surprise proposal planned. Her family was there and asked for a tour. When she opened the master bedroom closet doors, there was a sign that said, “Meet me in front of the house. Love, Jarrius.” Outside, Jarrius got on bended knee and asked her to marry him.

The couple opted for readings that were meaningful to them over a traditional wedding ceremony. They also wrote their own vows. Since Jarrius’s father had passed away a few years before, the couple had a seat reserved for him with a picture that said, “We know you would be here if heaven wasn’t so far away.”
