Outdoor Spring Austin Wedding from Westcott Weddings | Brittany + Dave

SWEET BEGINNINGS: Brittany and Dave met at one of Dave’s band gigs in April 2011.

PERFECT PROPOSAL: Dave proposed at Pilot Knob Vineyard, which turned out to be the couple’s wedding venue. Dave asked Brittany, “So how would you design a wedding here and set it up?” Brittany began describing where she would put items such as the tables and altar, and then looked at him and said, “But I don’t even have a ring yet!” At that moment, Dave dropped to his knee and the rest is history!

INVITE LOVE: The bride and groom sent out Viewfinders with custom reels! It showed everyone that Brittany and Dave were planning a fun, laidback party. Plus, who doesn’t love a Viewfinder?!

DINNER PARTY INSPIRATION: The style and inspiration for Brittany and Dave’s wedding started over a dinner the couple was hosting for family and friends. Over a cozy meal and wine, Brittany and Dave discussed wanting a “dinner party atmosphere” for their wedding. Although Brittany and Dave live in Nebraska, Brittany could not imagine getting married anywhere but her home state of Texas. After the location was determined, their team of vendors fell into place. The bride’s aunt and uncle own Pilot Knob Vineyard, which is tucked away in the Hill Country of Bertram, Texas, and offers gorgeous scenic views that go for miles. The vineyard was the perfect venue for the couple to say, “I do.”

AMAZING ALTAR: Brittany’s grandpa made the ceremony altar by hand all by himself, which Brittany cherishes. She was so happy to start a new life under the altar and can’t wait to live out more wonderful days snuggled underneath!

VENDOR LOVE: Ellen Westcott from Westcott Weddings was the perfect planner! Ellen and Brittany have been friends since their high school dance team days, and Brittany can remember Ellen bringing wedding magazines to read on the bus on the way to football games. Ellen was born to plan weddings. She helped the bride find all her amazing vendors and pull together her ideas!
